Name: Baishaku, Shinrou

1st Appearance: Volume 12, Book 3

Name origin: For his surname, the two kanji together means "matchmaker." For his given name, the two kanji together means "bridegroom."

Short Overview:
He is the younger editor of Marie-sensei. He tries to make sure she stays on par with her deadlines and gets her work done. He begs Minako to become Marie's copy assistant and so she does. There really doesn't seem to be too much of a love interest here even though he was similar looking to Kaitou Ace. In the end Baishaku married Marie-sensei.

Quotes:
"Unbelievable!" Minako thinks. "He looks just like Ace! He's so, so cool!"

"I get it," says Minako. "So Marie-sensei loved Baishaku-san. And she was a fan of Ace because he looks like Baishaku-san. And Swallowtail Kamen in the manga looked like Baishaku-san too!"
