Name: Sakurada, Natsuna

1st Appearance: Volume 4, Book 1

Name origin: For her surname, the first kanji means "cherry blossom" and the second means "rice field." For her given name, the first kanji means "summer" and the second means "vegetables."

Short Overview:
She is the superintendent-general of the Metropolitan Police Board and a huge fan of Sailor V. By chance, she discovered Sailor V's identity when she saw Minako transform and since then she calls Minako once a week to try to recruit her with the police. Minako likes her so she considers joining the police force with her. Although it is not clearly stated at the end of the manga if Minako joins or not, she does mention the possibility of taking up a part time job with them. Minako calls Natsuna onee-san, or big sister and while she is not her real sister it does show a sort of closeness between the two.

Quotes:
Minako thinks, "The caller is the superintendent-general of the Metropolitan Police Board, Sakurada Natsuna o-nee-san. We met in a kind of a strange way... It was the biggest blunder of my life as Sailor V. She saw where I transformed, and found out I'm Sailor V! Since then, she calls once every week..."

"That's right, Sailor V!" says Natsuna. "You're not alone! You've got us with you. If anything happens, be sure to contact us!"
